Cowboy
Miner Productions was presented with the Academy of Western Artists'
Will Rogers Medallion Award for Outstanding Merit/Excellence in
Printing and Publication for the year 2004 and 2005.
We
are pleased to present Cowboy Miner Productions with the Academy
of Western Artists' Will Rogers Medallion Award for Outstanding
Merit/Excellence in Printing and Publication, in conjunction with
your books that have received this-year's Will Rogers Medallion
award. We hope you can be present in Ft. Worth in July at our
annual convention and trade show, where we will present these
awards.
The
Will Rogers Medallion Award honors those books that represent
an Outstanding Achievement in the Publishing of Cowboy Poetry.
The books chosen exemplify a combination of excellent poetry,
high production values and respect for Cowboy Heritage.
Outstanding books are the result of a collaborative effort between
authors, publishers and printers, and the award criteria emphasizes
production values. The Will Rogers Medallion Award for Outstanding
Merit/Excellence in Printing and Publication will henceforth be
awarded annually to those publishing houses that contribute the
high production values, commercial viability and prestige to volumes
of cowboy poetry.
Your
work brings Cowboy Poetry to the general public in an appealing
and accessible manner and your high quality publications invite
readership in competition with other forms of literature.
The
initial honorees for any award do much to establish the prestige,
influence and respect for that award. The Academy believes that
in selecting you as one of the honorees, we have not only added
to the luster of the Will Rogers Medallion Award, but also helped
create a high standard of excellence that will benefit and inspire
future publications of cowboy poetry.
Congratulations
on your selection. It was well deserved, and we hope to see further
award-quality publications from you in the future.
Sincerely
yours,
Charles E. Williams
